The Richmond Hardware accepts walk-in donations any time we're open.

Please do not leave equipment outside the entrance when we are closed.!

We recommend you erase all personal information before donating, but it is our policy to erase or destroy all personal data before reusing or recycling any hard drives.

We accept all computers and computer peripherals, free of charge. Examples include, but are not limited to:

• complete computer systems
• mainboards
• modems
• video cards
• RAM
• hard drives
• power supplies

We do accept LCD and CRT monitors, but CRT monitors require a non-deductible $10 donation, regardless of that monitor's working condition.

We also accept some non-computer items:

• printers
• cables
• uninterruptible power supplies

We do not accept:

• manuals
• software CDs
• styrofoam
• televisions
• microwave ovens
• copiers
• DVD players or VCRs
• smoke detectors
• Appliances (including air conditioners)
• Any other non-computer item

As a non-profit organization we try to keep our costs very low so that we can put more resources into our mission. Proceeds obtained from recycling help offset operational costs. Hardware and cash donations from supporters like you fill in the gaps!
