Linux has excellent printing support. The best resource for Linux printing is LinuxPrinting.org. There you can easily check to see how compatible a printer is with Linux, or review printers recommended for use with Linux.

HP's new Deskjet 6940 is an affordable color Inkjet that works great with Linux.

Available locally at OfficeMax, this $130 printer even includes help for Linux in the included instruction booklet. It points readers to hp.com/go/linuxprinting, which features several resources specific to Linux and Open Source.
